Special Delivery

Because salvation is in Jesus Christ, let us rejoice in HIM
1. Rejoice in His Calling (9a)
• What is holding us back from "rejoicing with all our might?" Are we worried what those who see us rejoicing like that might say?
• God's desire and intention was and is to save through His coming
2. Rejoice in His Character (9b)
• When you discover God's character, it doesn't bring you to despair. You find how humble, loving, and caring He is
• He is identifying Himself as the only one that can save us
3. Rejoice in His Control (10)
• The long term payoff of our suffering is God's promise of eternal life with Him

If we want to possess peace, joy, healing, and salvation, the only way is through the suffering servant: Jesus Christ. This is our reason to rejoice!

Know Jesus, Know God

Because God is discovered through Jesus, let us seek to know Him...
1. Know Him through Truth (48-51)
• we must keep on keeping His Word alive in us
2. Know Him by Glory (52-56)
• "woe to him who's heart is so hard that the presence of Jesus flees from them"

Is it through Jesus that you are discovering God?
- where are you learning truth?
- whose glory are you seeking?

Since salvation come through Christ, we must trust His Word...
1. We must need His Word
• we have to be aware that we are in continue need of His Word in our life due to our constant growth we are in
2. We must receive His Word
• after Jesus has set us free from sin, we must fill that space with His Word otherwise something else will fill the void
3. Let us observe His Word
• we need to be not only hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word

A Happy Dog

Since the outcome of faith produces happiness, let us believe...
1. Believe for others (21-22)
• are we responding to the people that are causing havoc in our lives the same way this lady responded to her troubled daughter?
• we need to be lifting these people in our lives continually to the Lord
2. Believe during anomaly (23-24)
• anomaly = something out of the ordinary
• we need to be careful to stick to our path God has set us out on. Be patient and willing to minister where you're at, but don't loose your focus on where God is leading you
3. Believing through distress (25-28)
• continue in the prayer "Lord, help me"
• even in distress, we need to never doubt that God is able to come through
