2 Corinthians 3
A healthy definition of the Christian life is learning to let go. Letting go of control is an essential, yet difficult, part of our life with God.
Because legalism (trying to gain God's acceptance by obedience) produces death, let us receive life through the Spirit.
1. Death of Christian fellowship (v.1-11)
• God desires unity within the church
• The Spirit needs to be the leader of the fellowship
• We need each other, yet if we allow this Christian fellowship to die, we will be lacking in that essential support God designed us to have
2. Death of Christians Freedom (v.12-18)
• God has provided us complete freedom in everything
The outcome of looking at ourselves for salvation is death. The promise of looking at Christ for salvation is life eternal.
Are we resisting the sin of legalism?
Are we trusting in the Spirit to bring life?
Does it show in our fellowship?
Does it show in our Christian freedom? Read More...
